Indulgences were used as a way for the church to make money. They were papers that would say if you pay money to the church your ancestors and family will reach heaven faster than wait in purgatory. They were also used as a get out of jail free card for sinning.
I believe this turned Martin Luther off this because he never saw it in the Bible and that is what he believed what the church should go off of. So in his despite of the church he decided to start his own religion that he thought followed the Bible.
- The Hajj is "The Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca that takes place in the last month of the year, and that all Muslims are expected to make at least once during their lifetime." The Mecca where they will go is also in the holiest city to the Muslims in Saudi Arabia.
