World religion

Today in class we talked about world religions. So far we have only gone over the first two consisting of 3.7 billion of the worlds population. The first was Christianity with 2.2 and Islam with 1.5. I am a Catholic personally, but I never knew that there were 2.2  billion behind me. In addition to that we learned that the New Testament is a lot more important to the christians than the old because those are the stories of Jesus. After we talked about them we moved onto Islam. We learned that Islam is a very intense religion. For example, women have almost no rights, have to pray five times a day on their knees, and their government is run by their religion. With the government running the government they take sins very seriously and will punish with much force. In the end, both are very respected religions and have major followings.
