Each of the 5 religions

Christianity - Christianity is the largest religion as it is made up of 2.2 billion followers around the world. It has its main groups in the Americas, Europe, and Southern Africa, and the followers are called christians. Their founder is Jesus Christ (4-36 Ad). In addition to the religion being as big as it is, it has many many different versions of the origin and beliefs of early christians. These include Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants, Lutherans, etc... However, they all have the same leader, God. The most dominant of the religions is Catholicism. Its holy book is the Bible, and they believe in the Holy Trinity as the body of God. They primary believe in the New Testament

Islam - Islam is the second largest religion made with 1.5 billion followers. The followers are called muslims. The primary places where it is practiced is Indonesia, Middle East, and North Africa. It has two groups called the Sunnies, and the Shiites. These two groups hate each other and want to kill each other because they both think their religion is batter than the other. Their founder is Mohamed (570-632 Ad) a prophet. Their holy book is the Koran. Their beliefs include The Five Pillars. Monothesicstic

Hinduism - Hinduism is the third largest religion with 1.1 billion followers. They are called Hindues. They are most concentrated in India and Nepal. 97% live in India. It came out a few thousand years before christ. Longest religion. Their Holy book called the Vedas includes songs that date backs thousands of years ago. Passed down by oral tradition. However, there is no founder, they were created by various suggestions. Also, the Hindues believe in reincarnation meaning that when you die you are born into a new body.

Buddhism - Buddhism is the fourth largest religion with anywhere from 500 million to 1.5 billion. The reason there is such a wide range is because there are many practicing Buddhists but many don't call themselves Buddhists. They are primarily in Southeast Asia, China, Nepal, and Japan. There are only 1.2 million in the United States. Their founder is Siddhartha Gautama. He "lived in Nepal during the 6th to 4th century B.C". Also, their main beliefs are in the eight fold path meaning that if you can follow this completely, you will become divine. They also believe in the four noble truths. They want to get to Nirvana. Also believe in reincarnation.


Judaism - Judaism is a religion of 14-18 million followers. They are called Jews. Most live in Israel and the United States. Their Holy book is the Torah which is the first five books of the Old Testament. Their founder is Abraham. "Jews believe Jesus of Nazareth did not fulfill messianic prophecies that establish the criteria for the coming of the messiah. Judaism rejects Jesus as God, Divine Being, intermediary between humans and God, messiah or holy." They don't believe in the new testament
